2023 – 2024 Registration and Tuition Payment Information

Payment Policies

The Dance Lab’s main season generally runs from September – May (possibly the beginning of June). Our monthly rate is based on getting four classes per month. Some months may have five and others three. Over the course of the 9 months, it equals out that each day will get at least 29 classes. A credit card is required to be on file.

In order for your registration to be considered complete, you must pay the registration fee and the first month’s tuition. These amounts are non-refundable.

Starting on September 1st and on the first of each month through April, the tuition will be processed to your card on file. For example, payment 2 of 9 will be processed on 9/1, Payment 3 of 9 will be processed on 10/1. *This means there will be NO charge for the last month of classes even though classes will be taking place during that month.

Please note, if you register AFTER 9/1/23, BOTH Payment 1 AND 2 will be due at the time of registration.

Classes will NOT be prorated for your absences planned or unplanned.

All tuition and registration payments are NON-Refundable.

Late Fee

If your card on file is declined, an alternate payment must be made within 48 hours. A $15 Late Fee will be charged for any payments not made in full by the 5th of the month. This includes declined charges for cards on file for any reason.

Returned Check Fee

$35.00

Withdrawal Policy

For all of our RECITAL DANCE CLASSES (this does NOT apply to our Adult classes, Dance & Play or Creative Movement): If for any reason you need to withdraw from a class, you must provide notice in WRITING to The Dance Lab. There is a 1-month penalty for withdrawing before the completion of the season. You have reserved a spot in class, and we expect you to finish out the season. This policy begins at the time of registration.

Adult classes must provide notice in WRITING to The Dance Lab BEFORE the 1st of the next month if they do not wish to continue class(es).

Inclement Weather Closings

Notice will be made ONLY ON OUR FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM PAGES so please be sure to follow us! https://www.facebook.com/thedancelabsaratoga/ and https://www.instagram.com/thedancelabsaratoga/

  • Closings will be noted on the studio phone voicemail.
  • All closure announcements will be made a minimum of ONE HOUR before the first class (of the morning or evening) starts.
  • A snow day for Saratoga does NOT mean we are closed for evening classes. In that case, please check Facebook and Instagram.

Year-End Recital

The Dance Lab puts on a fantastic show at the end of the year with all of our noted recital classes. The rehearsal and recital usually occur at the very end of May/beginning of June. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to and we encourage all of our dancers to participate!

There will be at least THREE recitals (possibly 4). I will do my best to keep students who have multiple dances in one show as well as siblings, but there are NO guarantees.

**If you only have ONE student in ONE class, they will only be in one show.

Recital Costumes

Our classes require a costume purchase if your child is planning on participating in the recital (N/A for our Drop in Classes). Costume costs are generally $70.00 – $90.00 per costume (you will receive the exact amount by January 2024). A $55 costume deposit will be auto-drafted on Monday, November 6, 2023. The remaining balance will be auto-drafted on Monday, January 15, 2024. Both of these payments are NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason.

Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. If your dancer will NOT be participating in the recital, you are required to notify us via email at info@thedancelabsaratoga.com no later than November 1, 2023. Please do not rely on your dancer to inform us that they will not be dancing in the recital.

Performance Fee

A $55 per dancer performance fee is due and will be auto-drafted on Monday, March 18, 2023. This fee is non-refundable and will include decreased ticket costs, one pair of tights per fee, a small gift for all of the dancers and a recital t-shirt!

Recital Tickets

Tickets to our recital will need to be purchased. Dancers performing in a specific show do NOT need a ticket to the show they are performing in. More information including how and when the tickets can be purchased will be forthcoming.
