The Dance Lab’s main season generally runs from September – May (possibly the beginning of June). Our monthly rate is based on getting four classes per month. Some months may have five and others three. Over the course of the 9 months, it equals out that each day will get at least 29 classes. A credit card is required to be on file.
In order for your registration to be considered complete, you must pay the registration fee and the first month’s tuition. These amounts are non-refundable.
Starting on September 1st and on the first of each month through April, the tuition will be processed to your card on file. For example, payment 2 of 9 will be processed on 9/1, Payment 3 of 9 will be processed on 10/1. *This means there will be NO charge for the last month of classes even though classes will be taking place during that month.
Please note, if you register AFTER 9/1/22, BOTH Payment 1 AND 2 will be due at the time of registration.
Classes will NOT be prorated for your absences planned or unplanned.
All tuition and registration payments are NON-Refundable.
If your card on file is declined, an alternate payment must be made within 48 hours. A $15 Late Fee will be charged for any payments not made in full by the 5th of the month. This includes declined charges for cards on file for any reason.

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19:
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies have put in place recommended social distancing, occupancy restrictions and guidelines for businesses to follow. The Dance Lab has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; The Dance Lab will be implementing all recommendations from New York State officials as per The Dance Lab’s Enhanced Sanitation Practices & Social Distancing Guidelines document available on our website.
The Dance Lab will make every effort to keep our studio sanitized and to prevent symptomatic employees and dancers from entering the building. However, COVID-19 has been proven to be asymptomatic in some persons. Therefore, The Dance Lab cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other unknown virus. Further, attending The Dance Lab could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending The Dance Lab and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. By signing this agreement, I agree that my child and any accompanying persons will not enter The Dance Lab if we exhibit any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: A temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms, or at least two of the following symptoms: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. I also agree that neither my child(ren) nor any accompanying adult will enter The Dance Lab if we have had known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at The Dance Lab. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless The Dance Lab, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of The Dance Lab, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 or other currently unknown virus infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any The Dance Lab program or class.
In the event of an accident or emergency, I hereby authorize myself and/or my child(ren) to be transported to a hospital for medical treatment and I hold The Dance Lab, LLC and its representatives harmless in the execution of such. Additionally, I hereby agree to individually provide for all medical expenses which may be incurred by myself or my child(ren) as a result of any injury sustained while participating at or for The Dance Lab, LLC
A non-refundable registration fee of $25 for the first dancer and $15 for each additional family member is due upon registration. In addition, your first tuition installment is due at this time. This is also non-refundable.
For all of our RECITAL DANCE CLASSES (this does NOT apply to our Adult classes, Dance & Play or Creative Movement): If for any reason you need to withdraw from a class, you must provide notice in WRITING to The Dance Lab. There is a 1-month penalty for withdrawing before the completion of the season. You have reserved a spot in class, and we expect you to finish out the season. This policy begins at the time of registration.
In the event of a shelter in place, classes will convert to virtual classes and instruction will continue. There may be an approximate one-week transition period from the date of the shelter in place order until virtual classes begin in order to allow us to implement our action plan. This brief time period, if needed, will be treated as inclement weather days, meaning your child may be allowed a make-up class.
We will be offering a limited number of classes taught both via zoom and in person. These classes will be subject to end or change at our discretion at any time.
Inclement Weather Closings
Notice will be made ONLY ON OUR FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM PAGES so please be sure to follow us! https://www.facebook.com/thedancelabsaratoga/ and https://www.instagram.com/thedancelabsaratoga/
- If after-school activities are canceled for the SARATOGA SPRINGS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, we will also cancel EVENING classes for that day.
- If Saratoga has a Snow Day, MORNING CLASSES ONLY WILL BE CANCELED.
- A snow day for Saratoga does NOT mean we are closed for evening classes. In that case, please check Facebook and Instagram.
The Dance Lab puts on a fantastic show at the end of the year with all of our noted recital classes. The rehearsal and recital usually occur at the very end of May/beginning of June. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to and we encourage all of our dancers to participate!
There will be at least TWO recitals (possibly 3). I will do my best to keep students who have multiple dances in one show as well as siblings, but there are NO guarantees.
**If you only have ONE student in ONE class, they will only be in one show.
Our classes require a costume purchase if your child is planning on participating in the recital (N/A for our Drop in Classes). Costume costs are generally $70.00 – $90.00 per costume (you will receive the exact amount by January 2023). A $55 costume deposit will be auto-drafted on Monday, November 7, 2022. The remaining balance will be auto-drafted on Friday, January 13, 2023. Both of these payments are NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason.
Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. If your dancer will NOT be participating in the recital, you are required to notify us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than November 1, 2022. Please do not rely on your dancer to inform us that they will not be dancing in the recital.
A $55 per dancer performance fee is due and will be auto-drafted on Monday, March 13, 2023. This fee is non-refundable and will include decreased ticket costs, one pair of tights per fee, a small gift for all of the dancers and a recital t-shirt!
Tickets to our recital will need to be purchased. Dancers performing in a specific show do NOT need a ticket to the show they are performing in. More information including how and when the tickets can be purchased will be forthcoming.
